Vision
We aspire to share our modern take on traditional salon experiences through franchising, providing an uplifting environment for our clients and employees.
Glorious Crown Salons are Aveda exlusive salons, featuring exclusive line of plant-infused, vegan, and sustainable products. By choosing these eco-friendly products, we demonstrate our dedication to the health of our clients and the environment.
Our Values
Community.
We are your support system for your natural hair and being. The salon is fully aware that without our community, there would be no Glorious Crown Hair Salon. We are here for you, building genuine and supportive relationships with an underlying mission to help you reach your hair goals. We focus on philanthropic efforts in several ways: giving back to the local community by donating services, products, and sharing our time. We support other small black-owned business owners in the surrounding areas.
Team-Oriented & Accountability.
Stylists and staff at Glorious Crown Hair Salon hold each other accountable regarding character, conduct, and ethics. Our salon is dedicated to continuing education, creating a space of constant growth for our stylists. We share knowledge amongst each other and are a support system for each other.
Experience & Consistency.
At Glorious Crown Hair Salon, you will always be able to rely on our professionalism and punctuality. We ensure that the way we conduct our business will provide you with a seamless, pleasant experience from beginning to end. We are committed to setting the bar. Overall, the salon is a safe-space filled with positive energy and good vibes. You will enter into a welcoming, comfortable, and clean environment. Thereafter, your experience will be tailored to your liking. Client profiles are used to provide a more personalized experience while receiving your service from a stylist.
Trust.
Choosing Glorious Crown Hair Salon to receive your hair services means the world to us. We will take care of you and will not allow you to leave our place of business feeling anything less than confident or satisfied. We are interested in building relationships, fostering trust between every client, stylists, and staff at GCHS.
Melinda Jill Crudup, Owner | Stylist
I have been a Wake Forest native all my life. I graduated from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School in 2003 and later attended Durham Beauty Academy to follow my passion. I carry myself as a well rounded respectable mother of three: two daughters and one son. I have been married to my soulmate for 11 years. A personal goal in my life is to meet one new person a day.
My natural hair is an expression of being free, loving, and authentic. God made me a person with the hands of an artist and the heart of an angel that will openly and willingly share my gifts and give my time to others so that they will feel their most beautiful self. There’s nothing I’m not willing to learn to perfect my craft. A new love of Locs have been close to my heart, I’ve learned to create in many different ways how to thicken locs, grow, hydrate, stimulate, add extensions, and even instantly loc the hair, no matter the texture. Locs are misunderstood and I’m here to educate you.
I will always invest in your crown, because it’s something you will never be able to take off.

Hi! My name is Tricia and I was born and raised in NC. I have two daughters. Our natural hair journey started over 10 years ago. During that time transitioning and maintaining healthy hair became my passion. I completed the Natural Hair Specialist Program at Wake Tech Community College and I have a dual degree from North Carolina Wesleyan in Psychology and Organizational Administration. You may not see me in the Hair Salon or Salon & Spa often but I’m working diligently around the clock to help improve the employee & client experience.
