Melinda Jill Crudup, Owner | Stylist
I have been a Wake Forest native all my life. I graduated from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School in 2003 and later attended Durham Beauty Academy to follow my passion. I carry myself as a well rounded respectable mother of three: two daughters and one son. I have been married to my soulmate for 11 years. A personal goal in my life is to meet one new person a day.
My natural hair is an expression of being free, loving, and authentic. God made me a person with the hands of an artist and the heart of an angel that will openly and willingly share my gifts and give my time to others so that they will feel their most beautiful self. There’s nothing I’m not willing to learn to perfect my craft. A new love of Locs have been close to my heart, I’ve learned to create in many different ways how to thicken locs, grow, hydrate, stimulate, add extensions, and even instantly loc the hair, no matter the texture. Locs are misunderstood and I’m here to educate you.
I will always invest in your crown, because it’s something you will never be able to take off.

Hi! My name is Tricia and I was born and raised in NC. I have two daughters. Our natural hair journey started over 10 years ago. During that time transitioning and maintaining healthy hair became my passion. I completed the Natural Hair Specialist Program at Wake Tech Community College and I have a dual degree from North Carolina Wesleyan in Psychology and Organizational Administration. You may not see me in the Hair Salon or Salon & Spa often but I’m working diligently around the clock to help improve the employee & client experience.

Hi! My name is Matheshia. I am a proud mom of two sports obsessed teenage boys and happily married to my amazing husband. I am a total outdoor enthusiast who loves anything related to water. When I am not out and about or cheering from the sidelines, I thrive on helping others embrace their natural beauty. I have been natural for 11 years and started my loc journey 5 years ago. This was one of the best decisions that I could have ever made for my hair. When you come in for your service, I will be one of the first faces that you see! Sherrel Yvonne Hood is a mother of one son. They recently relocated from Upstate NY to North Carolina. It has been a true honor to have served 25 years in the hair care industry.
Sherrel is a master stylist and healthy hair motivator to all that sit in her chair.

In addition to haircare, Sherrel is a Holistic Herbalist & Wellness Coach. CEO/founder of Epik Wellness Academy LLC which helps professional women create healthier lifestyles by improving their emotional, spiritual and physical wellness even if they are busy and overwhelmed.
Sherrel’s divine purpose is to coach in both worlds, by assisting with the inside & outside beautification so that they can be the very best all-around amazing versions of themselves.
My name is Traciana. I am thrilled to have graduated from Elevate Salon Institute in March 2023 and becoming a licensed cosmetologist in October of the same year. Throughout my training, I have honed my skills as a stylist, specializing in promoting healthy hair and creating customized looks for my clients. I am passionate about using high-quality products and techniques to help my clients achieve their desired look while maintaining the health and integrity of their hair. Additionally, I am a body contouring specialist, and I pride myself on my ability to help my clients achieve their body goals through safe and effective treatments. My goal as a cosmetologist is to provide my clients with exceptional service that makes them feel confident and beautiful. Hi! My name is Sydney, I am a cosmologist at the salon and spa. I focus on all nail services, waxing, lash extensions and facials. However, I am always adding more services to that list! I love what I do and having been in this industry since 2018 when I graduated with my license as a junior in high school. I took a little break to attend college but during the quarantine I rediscovered cosmetology in my true passion. I am lucky enough to have a strong support system both at the salon and in my personal life. I am engaged to my best friend, Izaiah, and we have a little doggie named Arlo. My family and I moved to the area in September 2022 and have really enjoyed meeting everyone and exploring. Hello my name is Kabanga, in the salon I go by Bangs an I am a Licensed Cosmetologist. I’ve been working at Glorious Crown Salon/Salon and Spa since February, of 2023. My specialty services are color and natural hair styles. Such as highlights, color retouch, balayage, fun colors, loc, extensions, protective hairstyles, etc. I love spending time getting to know each of my clients and educating them on what it is their hair needs.
I’m Genay! I am simply a North Carolina native who has a passion for all things healthy hair! I get joy watching my clients transform in my chair. My passion for hair started at an early age and over the years has evolved into this multifaceted skill set that allows me to bring my clients’ visions to life. I believe in doing everything with love. That’s one of the many reasons why Glorious Crown is my home!
Dana is a native North Carolinian…born and raised. She joined the Glorious Crown Hair Salon family in spring of 2023 as the salon assistant at the spa location. Her duties include assisting stylists with their needs, keeping a pristine yet relaxing spa atmosphere as well as attending to each client individually. Dana loves to greet each client of all ages with a warm smile upon entry, kind words and to leave rejuvenated with a positive, memorable experience at the end of each appointment. In her spare time, Dana enjoys attending church, volunteering in the community, exercising and staying busy with her two teenage children and their family pup.
My name is Jenayia. I am 19 years old. I am in school for cosmetology. My favorite part of cosmetology school is the hair and my favorite part about the hair is braiding. I’ve been doing hair since I was 7. I used to love braiding my dolls’ hair or if there was anything around me that was braidable then I would braid it. Once I turned 13 I started doing my own hair. I really enjoy going out, walking in the park, and sleeping. My favorite colors are blue and pink. In my spare time I love to read a good book.
